Corpse Bride: Lady Gaga at the Glamour Magazine 23rd annual Women Of The Year gala

This photo was taken of lady gaga at the glamours women awards by Larry Busacca. I was really drawn to this look, its the perfect contemporary Elizabethan, not only is her hair frizz but her outfit is also adorned and encrusted with pearls.

She really pushers fashions boundaries and sets the mark.
This photo is one of the main inspirations behind my final design, the heavy white eye liner will appear in my face charts in different abbreviations, also the blocked out eye brows.

The way in which she holds herself and the heavy powdery makeup makes her look like a painting.

Contempery portrait suggesting wealth

I found this when looking though photos on line of portraits that represent wealth, and i think iv hit the nail on the head. The ever daring Rihanna is sat on a thrown surrounded by fur and draped in diamonds and gold. This in it self suggest power wealth not to mention she's chucking hundred doller bills around her, as if theres an endless amount!

my new elizabethan

I have nominated David Bowie as my new elizabethan not only because he was a man who was bringing change to art/music just like that of William shakespeare but also his make up has a very similar style to that of the elizabethan era, ok maybe a little more striking (the fact he's a man) but the pale skin and blushed check bones just screams Elizabeth I.
His hair colour also resembles a typical elizabethan. Red hair was a sign of royalty, and wealth. This photo I feel is holding symbolism as-well.The sun painted on his forehead and the positions of his hands could mean he's great, that everyone gravitates around him.

So with Kat and sue this week we have learnt and practised face contouring, both dramatic and soft contouring. In all honesty I found it quite difficult to pick up at first as the whole contouring is quite alien to me, as iv never done it on myself apart from halloween!! ( never a good sign) anyway we were show what brushes to use, face products and the face anatomy.

and too prove my point that there is a fine line between good contouring and 'iv just painted myself like a clown' contouring; I watched the dreaded youtube vids of amateurs tackling this craze witch was made by the big names such as Kim Kardashian....come on who doesn't want check bones like hers that hit the ceiling......right?!

In all honesty contouring is absolutely fine as long as its subtle. I no that, that amount of makeup on my own face would be far too much to just pop to the shops with, without it falling off all over my fruit and fibre!

Carina Buckley Analytical Review - The Danger Dress

Down town venice blvd, in the blazing mid afternoon sun. we set up for the surfing cowboy shoot with the stunning Camilla. After years of dealing with body confidence issues and over coming them. she came came forward for a modelling competition in which she not only won it, but wiped the floor clean, and we thank God today she did.
 In her white pumps and short dress that looks fresh off a tennis court, she's rocking this easy wear outfit that even the most body consusous type of woman can wear.
As the shadows draw longer and this exciting day comes to an end, the four hours of re application of make up and hair have taken a toll on the crew and everyone takes a brake and I see my prime opportunity to get my hands on the brain behind this stunning image being portrayed in front of us. with my bag full of questions and a ice tea in hand i'm greeted by a very cheerful Rumi, who's infectious friendly attitude is a breath of fresh air on such an intense shoot.
i cant help but forgetting that actually i'm ment to be working and not be joking with a fashion tycoon, so once i grounded myself i ask the most basic of questions;
